Edson Carias

Edson Carias is a project coordinator and health policy researcher for the Research on Adverse Drug Events And Reports (RADAR) project and the Prostate Cancer Research project, both led by Dr. Charles L. Bennett of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Mr. Carias has researched quality of reporting of allergic reactions to the chemotherapy drug Taxol. He also interviews prostate cancer patients at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center to assess their quality of life and treatment decision satisfaction. Mr. Carias studied biology at Swarthmore College and plans to pursue a career in medicine, working as a primary health care provider for minority populations.
