Northwestern Memorial’s Health Learning Centers and Healthy Transitions along with Geriatric Services at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation invite you to explore a variety of healthy aging topics from living longer, stronger lives to cancer and Alzheimer’s prevention updates.
Cancer 101 is an interactive class that will delve into cancer risks and reduction. By the end of the session, students will be able to describe the meaning of risk factors and will name at least two risk factors that influence the development of cancer. We will explore heredity (genes) and ways of overcoming a negative genetic inheritance. The course will highlight four common cancers (breast 101, prostate 101, lung 101, and skin 101).
