NSF Broader Impacts Support

An important part of research is translating the science and sharing the findings with the general public. Science in Society leverages its connections in the Chicago community to help Northwestern research faculty highlight the impact of their work and meet the criteria for the National Science Foundation (NSF) Broader Impacts mandate. Most recently, we helped a faculty member in the physics department develop a series of hands-on activities focused on the science of magnetism and organized an exciting outreach event for young elementary school students.
