Science in Society is currently recruiting a new team member to support and lead the growing K-8 STEM Education community in Evanston.
The District 65/Northwestern University Partnership Coordinator will serve as a liaison between NU and the Curriculum and Instruction Department in Evanston/Skokie School District 65. The Coordinator will develop and foster a network that connects Northwestern talent and resources with teachers and K-8 students in District 65.
Earlier in 2015, Science in Society was officially promoted to a University Research Center under Northwestern’s Office for Research. This tremendous recognition included increased funding and strategic support directly from the Vice President for Research.
“Designating Science in Society a Northwestern research center reflects the excellent, nationally-recognized work being done, and emphasizes Northwestern’s continued investment in community engagement” said Jay Walsh, Vice President for Research.
As part of Northwestern University’s We Will campaign, you can now give directly to Science in Society through the online fundraising portal. All donations will be used to support our science education and outreach initiatives. The Campaign for Northwestern’s priorities go hand-in-hand with Science in Society’s core mission.
