Bringing Science into Your Home

For the past four years, the Northwestern University Scientific Images Contest, “Capturing the Beauty of Science,” has brought stunning images and innovative research into the community through public exhibits and talks. Now, you can bring the beauty of science into your home with the help of our online Imagekind store!

Through the online store, launched in December of last year, the public can purchase gallery quality canvas and fine-art prints of their favorite winning scientific images. Winning scientists, and their labs, have graciously offered up their work to sell in support of current and future Science in Society science education and outreach initiatives.

The store features a select group of winning images, from all four contest years, in both canvas and fine-art format. From a macro shot of a fruit fly eye to the colorful swirls of heart cells in a nanofiber gel, these images offer a unique addition to any living room wall.

Look for future contest-related outreach events on our calendar, and keep your eyes peeled for this year’s winning images come fall.
